Macy's Department Store said this year they will donate two dollars for every letter to Santa that they receive to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Because of this, over 500 students from the Whitney Point Central School District participated in a letter-writing activity that raised close to $1,000 for the organization.
Former intermediate principal, Jay Whitelaw is a 'Wish Granter' with the organization. Last week, she collected the letters from the students. Later, she shared photos of her delivery of the letters to the Make-A-Wish office, as well as a 'Wish Board' which displays stars representing each wish granted.
This effort would not be possible without the caring and selfless students at Whitney Point!
