WP Alumni Banquet and Hall of Fame Induction
The Tenth Annual Alumni Banquet and Hall of Fame Recognition night is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2020 starting with appetizers at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the High School cafeteria. The Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during the evening. Come learn more about the inductees and hear from them about their journeys.
The cost of the dinner at the High School cafeteria remains at $20 per person for an excellent dinner buffet, and an evening of celebration and camaraderie. Please contact Nina Perry at [email protected], or at 692-8277, for additional information and registration for the dinner. This event is open to all, alumni and community members, associated with the Whitney Point Central School District and the Greater Whitney Point Community. The next planning meetings are Dec 16, Jan 13, Feb 10, Mar 16, and Apr 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library. New planning committee members will always be welcomed! All are invited to attend and participate in the meetings.
We have established the Whitney Point Alumni Association Scholarship Fund! The Whitney Point Alumni Association will award a scholarship of $1,000 to a graduating senior who is planning to pursue their education at an accredited college or university, recognized specialized trade school, or through a branch of the United States armed forces. The scholarship application is attached. If you have an interest in supporting the scholarship fund, a donation form is also attached. Thank you to all who have donated.
The Alumni Planning Committee has a schedule of meetings throughout the year. New participants are needed and always welcomed. Meetings to work on the 2020 banquet, scholarship fund raising, and the newsletter are scheduled as follows: December 16, January 13, February 10, March 16, and April 20.
