September 27th – Field trip to TC3 to explore Manufacturing we have invited any Junior or Senior to attend with a max capacity of 40.
October 2nd - St. Bonaventure will be visiting the Career Center at 10:30 (Let us know if you are interested in talking with the College Representative)
October 3rd – PSAT Readiness check for those Juniors signed up for the PSAT. The test is all digital this year, so we want to make sure we are ready 😊
October 4th – Field trip to Construction and Technology Career Day we have invited 10-12th graders to explore this opportunity.
October 11th - PSAT for Juniors interested. Need to sign up by 9/29 starting at 7:30 am, location to be determined.
October 18th – Field trip to College and Career Day at the Arena. Taking all Juniors unless parents deny permission. We are scheduled to leave at 11:00 so all Juniors will need to have lunch 5th period. https://binghamtoncollegeday.org/
October 20th - LeMoyne College will be visiting the Career Center at 9:15 (Let us know if you are interested in talking with the College Representative)
October 25th - SUNY New Paltz will be visiting the Career Center at 10:00 (Let us know if you are interested in talking with the College Representative)
November 1st - SUNY Canton will be visiting the Career Center at 1:30 (Let us know if you are interested in talking with the College Representative)
November 8th – ASVAB testing (required test for those interested in the military and an excellent way to explore careers, scores are not released to the military) this test if offered to interested Juniors and Seniors. Offered two times on 11/8 either 7:30 or 11:30, place to be determined. For more information you are welcome to check this out: https://www.asvabprogram.com/
November 20th – ASVAB Test interpretation. For those students that took the exam we drill down on test results and explore potential career opportunities based on skill level. Time and place to be determined.
November 20th - Healthcare Career Expo - any student interested in exploring Healthcare is invited to join us as we head out to Ithaca College for a series of workshops.
November 21st - Seniors interested in attending SUNY Broome will have the opportunity to attend College Express. A great day to apply, talk with admissions counselors, tour the college and listen to talks on important college prep. Please return permission forms by 11/14.
December 5th - Seniors interested in attending Tompkins Cortland Community College to attend Instant Admit. Apply, take a tour or the campus and enjoy lunch before heading back to WPHS to catch your bus.
December 18th SUNY Broome Culinary and Food Science Field Trip
January 18th Clean Energy & Battery Storage Recruitment Event: this will allow interested students to participate in a program presentation, business partner panel discussion and tour of the BAE facilities.
February 27th BOCES CTE Visitation for interested 10th graders hoping to explore career options through the trades.
March 5th BOCES Open House for Career and Technical Education Programs.
March 5th New Visions Parent Information Night.
March - date TBD a visit to Binghamton University's School of Pharmacy.
April 6th Cornell University is inviting girls and non binary youth to explore STEM through the Expanding Your Horizons Workshop (ask for more details)
April 11th SUNY College Fair at SUNY Broome for interested 11th graders 9:30-11:00 pm. More information to follow.
May 8th, 2nd Annual HS Senior Job Fair at Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. Check out this link for last year's WBNG Around the Tiers.
