Goal: Through a parentship between WPCSD and parents/guardians, students will utilize technology to gather, assess, synthesize and present information and will demonstrate an understanding of digital citizenship.
Students are provided explicit instruction in the use of technology during scheduled computer, library, and technology classes in kindergarten through 8th grade to develop skills aligned with the ISTE Standards for Students. Additionally, teachers provide students with opportunities within their courses to utilize technology to gather, assess, synthesize and present information in each grade. Students are provided with direct instruction on internet safety and digital citizenship at every grade level. The ISTE Standards for Students will guide the integration of technology to enhance the learning experiences of students.
