The Whitney Point Central School District Board of Education has announced the search for its next Superintendent of Schools.
The Board is seeking a strong, ethical, and principled leader who sets clear expectations, maintains accountability, and leads with integrity and respect. The successful candidate will be student focused, visible in schools and the community, and committed to transparent communication and collaboration with students, staff, families, and community members.
Broome-Tioga BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Rebecca Stone is assisting the Board with the search process and will screen applicants before presenting candidates for Board review. Initial interviews will be confidential. Only finalists will participate in stakeholder meetings.
The Board is prepared to offer a three-year contract with a comprehensive benefits package and a minimum salary of $150,000, based on professional background and experience. Residency is not required. Regular attendance at school events is expected. The successful candidate will begin employment on July 1, 2026.
Applications must be submitted by March 25, 2026. Required materials include a completed application form, cover letter, resume, copy of school administrator certification, and three letters of recommendation.
