Whitney Point High School Drama Club presents Bye, Bye Birdie, February 20 and 21, 2026.

The Whitney Point High School Drama Club is ready to take audiences back to the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll with its upcoming production of "Bye-Bye Birdie," a high-energy musical comedy packed with humor, heart, and unforgettable songs.

With a book by Michael Stewart, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Lee Adams, "Bye, Bye Birdie" has been delighting audiences for generations. Originally produced by Edward Padula, the show follows teen idol Conrad Birdie and the small town turned upside down when he arrives for one last publicity stunt before heading off to the Army. Filled with lively dance numbers, colorful characters, and classic hits, this beloved musical promises fun for the whole family.

This year’s production is directed by Lyndsie Lee Jones, with Music Direction by Ken Jones and Choreography by Cecilia Calice. Promotional artwork for the show was designed by student Riley Burke.
