Whitney Point High School is proud to announce that senior Genevieve Huston, daughter of Nicole and Kenneth Huston, has signed her National Letter of Intent to play Division I Field Hockey at Syracuse University. The signing ceremony took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Whitney Point High School.
A standout both academically and athletically, Huston is a High Honor Roll student, NFHCA Scholar, NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, and a member of the National Honor Society. She also participates in the Youth Apprenticeship Program at Gault Toyota.
Athletic Achievements
Huston played a key role in leading Whitney Point to its fifth consecutive NYSPHSAA Class C State Championship, closing her high school career with 86 goals and 95 assists. Her accomplishments include:
NFHCA 3rd Team All-American
Max Field Hockey Top 100 (Class of 2026)
3x NFHCA All-Region NY
3x All-State and 3x Division I First-Team All-Star
State All-Tournament Team (3 years)
2024 Press & Sun-Bulletin Field Hockey Player of the Year
Huston has also excelled in national and club-level competition. She earned a spot on the U17 USA Junior Women’s National Indoor Team (Traveling Roster) and has been part of championship teams at the CanAm Games, Disney Sunshine Showcase, National Indoor Tournament, Junior Premier Outdoor League, and more. She has competed for top clubs including WC Eagles, WNY, and CNY, and serves as a coach with Elite H.
Leadership and Interests Beyond Athletics
Outside of field hockey, Huston has modeled for Delco, Gabe Gordon at New York Fashion Week, and Dazed Fashion Magazine, and has even been cast in a film. She previously participated in 4-H and remains active in her community.
Looking Ahead
At Syracuse University, home of the Orange and mascot Otto, Huston plans to major in Real Estate or Entrepreneurship at the Whitman School of Management.
