Mrs. Zabadal’s fifth-grade class recently participated in a meaningful Veterans Day activity centered around the book "A Little White Table." The story provided students with a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by Veterans in service to our country.
As part of their learning experience, students also performed the song “My Country, ’Tis of Thee” and created thoughtful Veterans Day cards to share with members of the American Legion.
The Veterans expressed heartfelt appreciation for the students’ enthusiasm, kind words, and the beautifully crafted sign and letters they prepared. This project served as a powerful reminder of the importance of honoring and remembering those who have served our nation.
