4th and 5th grades are participating in a program called "Pass On Positives," otherwise known as "POPing." POPing is a way of passing on an act of kindness to another person. Our 4th and 5th grades recognize and celebrate each other by submitting a nomination for a student who passed along an act of kindness. POPing has many benefits including:
modeling good behavior
strengthening student and school relationships
it is a fun way to celebrate and cheer people up.
Research indicates that these factors ultimately contribute to higher academic achievement. This portion of our supportive learning environment fits nicely within our district vision to become a community of excellence achieved through a commitment of high performance, morale, and involvement.
