Dear Whitney Point Families,
The Whitney Point Central School District has been working with the Broome County Health Department as we have received notification of two High School students with confirmed cases of COVID-19. Information regarding these individual’s identity cannot be released. We ask that you please respect their privacy.
According to the New York State Department of Health guidelines, any person who was in contact with a confirmed case will be quarantined by the Broome County Health Department for up to 10 days.
The Broome County Health Department has completed a contact tracing investigation for these cases. There will not be any mandatory school-related quarantines related to these two cases.
We will continue to monitor these situations and keep our community informed.
