On our Opening Day meeting Tuesday morning, we handed out services awards to faculty and staff who hit certain milestones in their career. Awards were given out for those who gave 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service to the district. The highest number of years went to Joseph Kucher - the sole person in the 35-year category!
Joseph is currently the Family Engagement Counselor in the CEA though the Community Schools Grant. He spent most of his career as a school counselor at the TRA and retired in 2018 after 32 years. Since then, he's worked part-time at the CEA through the Community Schools Grant. He also coached football for many years and watched generations of students come through our buildings. He often finds himself working with the children and grandchildren of former students. We're so grateful for the decades of service Joseph has committed to our district. Congratulations on 35 years, Mr. Kucher!
