District celebrates Dr. Follette's retirement

On June 24, the faculty and staff from all three of our buildings celebrated Dr. Follette as she headed into retirement after nine years as superintendent and a 33-year career in education. Dr. Follette and the high school staff celebrated in the library, while the TRA and CEA faculty and staff tuned in via Zoom. Cookies and cake were placed in all three locations, a video with well-wishes was screened and Board of Education president Stephanie Champney gifted Dr. Follette with a commemorative plaque to mark her time as Superintendent. There was laughter, tears and many memories shared as the Whitney Point community expressed gratitude said their good-byes.
Thank you very much to Dr. Follette for your many years of service to the district! You will be missed. We wish you the best of luck as you enter this new chapter of life.
