New Visions Summit

The New Visions Business Academy Junior Achievement Company Program (Venture Prize) is a finalist for the 2023 JA National Student Leadership Summit. WP student Holden Maslin is one of the 5 students in the program selected to attend the event. The Summit will take place in Washington, D.C. from June 11-15.  

Junior Achievement’s National Student Leadership Summit (NSLS) is a contest of business skills, ingenuity, and innovation that focuses on the accomplishments of JA Company Program  They are the only team from NYS selected to compete in this competition.  The theme for VenturePrize this year was community.  The students created greeting cards with photos from local area landmarks and a puzzle consisting of a collage of photos.  These products were designed to showcase the beauty of Broome County. 

There are five components that will be scored as part of the JA Company of the Year competition. Each is weighted equally. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be recognized. Scores and any judge feedback provided will be shared with student companies after NSLS.

The award the New Visions Business Academy students is nominated for is the ICE Best Financial Performance Award (*They are one of 5 teams that have been selected as a finalist for this award.
