Whitney Point High School welcomed alumnus Landon Jeker, Class of 2018, back to campus on October 16, 2026, to share his experiences as a propulsion engineer at SpaceX!

Landon spoke with students in several classes, including Earth & Space, Chemistry, Calculus, College Math and Career & Financial Management, connecting classroom learning to his work in the aerospace industry. He was also welcomed by two of his former teachers, Mr. Gene Jordan and Mr. John Prindle. Landon's visit was part of the school's Careers to Classrooms initiative, which connects students with alumni, industry professionals, local employers and community partners to demonstrate how classroom learning translates into real-world careers. This aims to increase student engagement, strengthen the relevance of classroom instruction and expand career awareness.

After his presentations, Landon stopped by Mr. Prindle’s technology classroom to revisit one of his first engineering projects - a wind tunnel he built as a Whitney Point student! What a great reminder of how curiosity and hands-on learning can spark a future career.

Thank you, Landon, for coming back to share your journey and inspire the next generation of Golden Eagles!
