There are many opportunities to earn scholarship funds to help pay for college. Not all scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence or financial need, so it is important to review all scholarship programs that may pertain to your intended field of study, your volunteer work/extra-curricular activities, or your personal background and interests.
WHITNEY POINT ROTARY CLUB SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
We recently spoke to Whitney Point Rotary Club member Bert McCulloch about the club's Service Scholarship, which is open to all high school seniors who have completed community service over the past four years. NYS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
New York State offers two scholarship programs, the NYS Excelsior Scholarship and the NYS Scholarship for Academic Excellence.
