There’s another exciting week ahead for our students as the Digital Dome, formerly know as STAR LAB, will be set up in our cafeteria. The Digital Dome is a portable planetarium available to schools through Broome-Tioga BOCES. Students enter the inflatable classroom and are immersed in darkness. Soon images of the planets, stars, constellations and galaxies are seen above and around them. The images are projected from a computer within the dome. Mrs. Richards, Mrs. O’Brien, Mrs. Ruggiero, and Mr. Rounds will facilitate the lessons for each grade level.
We will kick off the week with a special presentation at Morning Program and then classes will be scheduled to visit the Dome this week to learn about space, the solar system, and various constellations. Our students always look forward to their visit! |
