Tioughnioga Riverside Academy Supply Lists

 

SCHOOL STARTS THURSDAY 9/5/13

2013 - 2014 Grades 4-5

4th Grade

You will receive supply lists from your individual teachers

Mrs. Stanley's supply list is posted on her web page!  

 

  5th Grade

 

- 2 packages wide-rule loose-leaf paper
- 3-4 dozen pencils, black or blue pens
- colored pencils and crayons, scissors
- 3-4 highlighters, 3-4 glue sticks,
- 4-5 pocket folders, 3-4 spiral notebooks, ruler
 

- 2-3 boxes of tissues

Please do not send in Trapper Keeper binders as our desks do not have room for them.

Mechanical pencils may be allowed at the discretion of each teacher.

In the event that additional items are needed, homeroom teachers may mail a list of those items by summer's end.

Please do not buy backpacks with wheels.

They will not fit into our lockers.

7th Grade   

** This year you will need binders for the following classes:  English, Science, Social Studies, Technology.  It is recommended that you get a different color for each.  See each individual class below for details about the suggested size.Please also have a GOOD supply of pencils and pens (blue or black ink). 

TEAM SUPPLIES:

**TEAM BINDER: The binder should be a 1 1/2" binder that will be used to keep your Homework folder, agenda, a small amount of loose-leaf paper, and a zipper pencil case- NO TRAPPER KEEPERS

**Highlighters,   **Homework folder (This folder should be 3-hole punched so that it will fit in the homework binder.) **Colored pencils, pens (black/blue), pencils, Narrow/thin zipper pencil case...don't get a bulky one **Loose-Leaf paper

English: (Miss Welsh)  3-ring binder 1 1/2" with loose-leaf paper, (1) 2-pocket folder, Pens blue/black only, Composition Notebook, 3x5 index cards

ELA: (Mrs. Reynolds)
· 1" hardcover 3-ring binder with pockets - NO trapper-keepers 
· One pack of divider tabs, One 2-pocket folder, pencils ...no pen  (No loose leaf paper needed)

Math:  *SCIENTIC CALCULATOR (TI30X IIS), spiral notebook, lots of pencils

Science:  (Mrs. Bucinell) 2" 3-Ring hardcover binder (labeled name on edge) with 5 tab divider pages, spiral notebook (50-75 sheets), Colored pencils (12-24 pack), Lots of pens and pencils, Jumbo size book sock 

Physical Science Accelerated: (Mrs. Porter) 1 1/2" 3-ring binder - labeled with name on edge with 3 tab divider pages

Social Studies: (Mrs. Brosius)   1 1/2" 3-Ring hardcover binder, 5 tab divider pages, index cards (4x6), Colored pencils, Jumbo size book sock, lots of pens and pencils

Technology: (Mr. Davis)  1 1/2" 3-Ring hardcover binder.  Be sure you have pencil or pen

*Recommended calculator.  If you cannot afford a calculator, let guidance know and we will secure one.  EVERY STUDENT MUST HAVE A CALCULATOR

 8th Grade

 
This year you will need a variety of binders.  For EACH or your core classes. (That means 5 core subject binders:  English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish. We suggest a different color for each subject.)  See each individual class listed below for details about the suggested size. Please also have a GOOD supply of pencils and pens (black or blue ink) 

*If possible… book sox for your textbooks would be great!

· One pack of divider tabs, One 2-pocket folder, pencils ...no pen  (No loose leaf paper needed)

· SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR: TI 30X IIS - regular 8th grade math, TI-84 Plus - Accelerated math 

· 3 ring binder - 2" hard cover with loose leaf paper and a 2-pocket folder
· LOTS of Pencils !!! Pen is NOT accepted on anything!


Living Environment Acc Science:  (Mrs. Bucinell)
· A zippered pencil case to keep … plenty of pens and pencils, 12-24 pack of colored pencils

· Jumbo size Book sock for your text (if possible), pens (blue, black, purple)
· 2" 3-ring binder labeled with name on edge with 8 divider tabs

Science:  (Mrs. Porter)

. 1 1/2" hardcover binder with 3 tab divider pages   Pocket folder to fit in binder, pens/pencils

Social Studies:  (Ms. Becker)

. Index cards (3x5 or 4x6), Jumbo size Book Sock
· 3 ring binder (hard cover 1 1/2") - only if current binder is damaged, 5 tab dividers

· Multi-colored PENS or NON-BLEED markers... these will be used during note talking... 5 or more colors!

Spanish :  (Mrs. Edwards)
· 3 ring binder (at least 2" wide with pockets/Hard cover) This will hold your Spanish book for the year, Lots of pencils and pens!!
