New Beginnings Bring New Opportunities!

Dear Whitney Point Community,

I would like to start my first letter by telling you how honored I am to have been selected as the new Superintendent of the Whitney Point Central School District. I am truly grateful to the Board of Education, district employees, and members of the community for the warm reception I received.

For the past four years, I have had the great fortune to serve as the school district's Director of Curriculum and Instruction. During that time, I was continually impressed by the support and commitment of the district and community as we worked together to provide many positive opportunities for our students. I look forward to continuing to work with the faculty, staff, parents and community to provide leadership and ensure a quality education for all our students.

I have been asked in the recent past why I would be willing to take the position of Superintendent at this seemingly tumultuous time in education. I believe my motivation is captured in a quote by Gifford Pinchot: "The vast possibilities of our great future become realities only if we make ourselves responsible for that future." I would like to invite the entire Whitney Point community to become active partners with me as we take responsibility for the future of our children. With new beginnings bring new opportunities, and I expect to see wonderful things happen for the Whitney Point Central School District.

During the coming months, I look forward to meeting many more members of our community, sharing ideas and gathering your feedback. I would like to once again offer my thanks for the support I have received and invite you to contact me to express a concern or celebrate a moment of joy.
